Ayse Esra SAHYAR / The Emergence and Development of the ‘Idea of Practice by Hadiths on Virtue’

Abstract: The science of hadith methodology, like the other sciences, has developed gradually. Specially, this gradual developing in a position that can be followed and understood. When the ideas of the different scholars in any matter is determined and arranged chronologically it will be appear the birth and development of any idea in hadith methodology. After determining of the growth process it will be possible to make sound explanations about different ideas. In this article, it has considered the different ideas of hadith scholars from first period of the hadith history until these days in the matter of that if weak hadithes about virtue are suitable for performance. Furthermore the growth process of the idea has been connected with the periods of hadith history. Basically it has emphasised the difference between concepts of “to perform content of weak hadith” and ‘narration of weak hadith’.
