Smain KHALIDI / “Muhtawa al-Muwatta’ wa Manhajuhu fi al-Hadith” - -

Abstract: In this article I tried to explain what al-Muwatta’ includes from the ahadis and what excludes which is later called “The Terminology of Hadith” and why the scholar Malik b. Anas uses the ‘mursel hadith’ in his al-Muwatta’ as I pointed out the number of hadiths al-Muwatta’ includes, their levels and the argument about them and the attributions which the scholar Malik relied in his riwayahs of these hadiths and what gave al-Muwatta’ a high position between hadith books.
